Well I'm Off Again!

'ooo look the cars are all icy..' I thought as I promptly slipped off the edge of my parents' garden path on a large piece of ice and landed arse-backwards incredibly painfully on the pavement first thing this morning.

yep so I'm back living at my parents again... one of the many excellent life enhancing things that have occured in the past few months since I turned 30.
(I use 'excellent' in the most ironic of all possible senses by the way in case you thought I was completely crazy...!)

So what has happened to me since I hit this huge life milestone... well, let's see, I'm completely broke, owe my soul to several large credit card companies, have become homeless and even worse I don't even have the right wireless network card to get onto the internet..!!!
Tragic eh?

So what am I doing about all this with my new found sense of 30 year old sage time-earned wisdom and responsibility????
That's right I'm going to quit working for a living and walk across Spain!

So I was photographing The Forth the other day cos someone asked me to draw it (although as you can see it's not the most exciting of buildings - but quite a nice pub though...) anyway I was photographing away and look what I saw!
It's ANOTHER space invader!!!

So Newcastle truly has been invaded...


Also: on another note I have discovered that this is my 100th blog. I'm not sure whether I should be proud or, um, ashamed that my life is so boring I have only managed 100 semi-interesting things to say during the past 3 years! sigh...

So the other day I found a space invader!
In Newcastle! (well technically gateshead... which is practically Newcastle...ducks missiles thrown from patriotic gatesheaders...)

I've read stuff about them on the net obviously - they are mosaic street art placed by an artist known only as 'invader' - but I had assumed, apparently falsely, that they were only to be found in London and Paris and, well, frankly more exotic locations.

I'm quite chuffed with myself for spotting it actually, what with it being quite obviously out in plain site and all that....

Hurrah! Merely MONTHS after we returned from our walk I have finally sorted the camino photos out!
