Hello look a computer and the punctuation keys dont work

so let me just wax lyrical about Burghos for a bit until i get into the horrors of the past few days...

so Burghos was really beautiful, couldve stayed there for ages... the cathedral was AMAZING really impressive, possibly the most amazing cathedral Ive ever seen and ive been to rome and santiago... really wonderful... i tried to paint it but it was hard going...

the next day i was limping a bit cos my blisters didnt really get to heal cos i was so busy looking round burghos so we stopped at Rabe de las calzadas where we thought there was 2 hostels but in fact there was only one...

when the hostel finally opened a thunderstorm started just as we went in which zoe later said shouldve been a bad omen...

i spent the ENTIRE night in bathroom being really very very very very ill.....

managed to escape very early in the morning with our stuff still in bin liners to a nearby church porch where when i felt up to it we packed our bags and i stumbled 8km to the next town... about halfway i was about to collapse off the side of the path when a nice french pilgrim came past and gave me a sugar cube soaked in menthol which just about gave me the strengh to make it...

so we havent got very far these two days... im still felling terrible and i dont think zoe was all that well this morning. i havent really eaten for two days so having the strength to walk it quite tough... managed 11km this morning to Hontanas where we are staying in a very nice hostel.

walking acorss the meseta at the moment which is very beautiful, green fields as far as the eye can see and no sounds but birds singing... hope i feel better enough to enjoy it soon...

over and out

sick suz

oooh i forgot the most important thing that happened in burghos i bought a new camera = it is really really pretty and shiny = i hope it lasts longer than the last one....

"Oh no, mook! I definitely think you should rest up a bit if possible as you'll just make yourself worse if you push yourself. I hope you find some nice vegetables in the next town.

Is it too late to get a donkey?"
