Sitting on Window sill, ground floor, sleeping on mattresses cos the gite is full and there are no beds!

(this is the only one that isn't entirely accurate - actually we didnt sleep here - mum managed to find us some slightly better accomodation in a nice place with a view of the river, unfortunately I had already drawn this picture and I didn't want to change it!)

The view from every window we stayed in from Le Puy to Pamplona. Although sometimes it's the view of the window because there was no view and occasionally there wasn't even a window so I had draw the door!
The purpose of this (as is immediately obvious!) was not to produce an amazing collection of artwork but more as a kind of record for myself of everywhere we stayed. Although some are little more than exhausted quick sketches, because I had to really look at the view everytime I drew one I can remember every single place we stayed in much more clearly - it was a kind visual journal for myself.
