The day starts with what turns out to be a ridiculously long detour to avoid climbing up the cliff out of Cahors with our big packpacks on.
Having decided we can't be bothered to go all the way to Lascabanes we take the shorter detour to Le Hospitalet along some pretty easy going and flat countryside.
